AAP opposes GST on hostel fees, says Poor students will be financially burdened; Will not be allowed to implement in Panjab University

Punjab News: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has opposed the Central government’s decision to impose 12 per cent GST on hostel fees of central universities. The AAP has termed it a dictatorship and accused the Modi government of deliberately obstructing the education of poor students.
Punjab Youth Wing President and Dharamkot MLA Davinder Jit Singh Ladi and Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman Parminder Goldy held a press conference at the AAP headquarters and condemned the decision. Davinderjit Singh Ladi Dhons described the decision as a tughlaq decree of the central government.
He said that the central government is deliberately putting financial burden to keep poor students away from education. Education has always been exempted from tax, but the Modi government is looking for new ways to extort money from students, which is unfortunate.
