ADMINISTRATION LAUNCHES NIGHT RESCUE OPERATION TO SAVE PEOPLE

DEPUTY COMMISSIONER PERSONALLY MONITORS THE ENTIRE DRIVE AT JANIYAN VILLAGE
Jalandhar:  District Administration Jalandhar on Monday night launched a night rescue operation to save people in village Janiyan near Gidderpindi to protect them from flood-like situation. Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal personally monitored the entire drive and ensured proper coordination between the rescue teams.

Giving more information, the DC said that information was received that nearly 34 people are stuck in their homes in the Janiyan village; thereby a night rescue operation was immediately. He further said that NDRF teams were immediately made to rush the spot and a rescue operation was launched in the village. He further added that the teams have successfully started to rescue people through motor boats by reaching out to them at their respective homes.

He said that the administration was committed to saving precious lives of people from this situation and all out efforts were being made in this cause. He said that all the officers of Jalandhar Administration have been stationed at flood-prone areas since last night and rescue operations were launched at several locations.
