After Punjab cuts, Centre gives Y-category security cover to Sushil Rinku and Sheetal Angural

Chandigarh: The BJP candidate from Jalandhar, Sushilkumar Rinku, and former AAP MLA Sheetal Angural, who joined the party, have been provided Y-category security by the Centre.

After both leaders joined the BJP, the government ordered a reduction in their security. Punjab Police commandos guarding Rinku were withdrawn, along with a security vehicle.

Previously, Rinku was accompanied by four policemen and four specially trained commandos for security, but the government has now withdrawn four commandos.

BJP leaders wrote a letter to District Election Officer DC Jalandhar Himanshu Agarwal requesting an increase in Rinku and Angural’s security, but the Punjab government reduced security instead of increasing it.
