Beas river dam collapses in Punjab: Flood threat in Tarn Taran

Punjab News: In Punjab, there is a danger of flood in Tarn Taran. The dam of beas river near Mundapind village in Khadoor Sahib here has broken due to which 3 villages are in danger of drowning. Several acres of crops in the fields here have been submerged in water. The villagers are engaged in rebuilding the dam at their own level.
    In Mansa, taking selfies has been banned in waterlogged places in view of incidents of drowning in floods. Mansa district magistrate imposed the ban under Section 144. The order said that selfies will not be taken from mobile phones in any waterlogged area, broken dams, bridges and rivers and streams. The order will remain in force till July 31.
    At the same time, there is a danger of drowning from Ghaggar in Sardulgarh of Mansa. In view of this, a dam is now being built on the Mansa-Sirsa National Highway. Along with the administration, people have also started pouring soil through tractors here.
