Bhakra dam gates to remain open for next 4-5 days: Officials 

Ropar News: Secretary, Bhakra Beas Management Board, Satish Singla said that the BBMB is releasing water from Bhakra Dam in a planned manner with the help of engineers of Punjab to reduce the increased level of water.
     After the release of water from the dam, the water level in the dam has come down from 1678.50 feet to 1677.26 feet till this afternoon.
According to the report of the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain in Punjab in the next four to five days, so this time is absolutely appropriate to reduce the water level in bhakra dam.
    He expressed the hope that they would bring the water of the dam to a safe level by releasing continuous water from Bhakra for the next 4-5 days.
