Chandigarh Municipal Corporation meeting today, proposal to increase the allowance of councillors
Chandigarh News: A meeting of the Municipal Corporation in Chandigarh is scheduled to be held today. In this, a proposal has been brought in the meeting today to install charging stations inside the parking under the Electric Vehicle Policy.
In the last meeting, this proposal was not passed by the councillors.
The councillors said that the Chandigarh administration has implemented the electric vehicle policy in Chandigarh without consulting them. It should have been sent to the municipal corporation for discussion before it was implemented.
A proposal to increase the salary of councillors will also be brought in the Municipal Corporation today. It proposes to increase the salary of councillors from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 per month. Apart from this, a provision of Rs 5,000 petrol diesel and office expenses has also been made for them. There is a provision of Rs 2500 per month to recharge the mobile.
