Patiala News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today inaugurated the new state-of-the-art bus stand at Patiala.
Rs 60.97 crore has been spent on the construction of this new bus stand. Several ministers, MLAs and officials of the government were present on the occasion. Due to the chief minister’s visit, the police had made tight security arrangements and a large number of police personnel were deployed.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that the Patiala bus stand would be made a role model for Punjab and more bus stands would be built in Punjab on the same lines.
Sharing the victory in the Jalandhar by-election, Mann said that the SAD, BJP and Congressmen showed so much arrogance there that they lost the dignity of their Punjabis. He also announced that more water from canals would be released during the paddy season in Punjab, thereby saving ground water. He said that while taking plots in the newly constructed colonies, people should see which color has been installed, if the color is not correct, it means that the colony is illegal.
