Farmers protest against BJP candidate Hans Raj Hans in Faridkot

Chandigarh: The BJP candidate from Faridkot once again faced protests from farmers on Friday. The farmers stopped the car and tried to ask Hans questions as he arrived at a hotel for a workers’ meeting.

According to the pre-decided program, the farmers had planned to surround him. As Hans’ convoy reached the meeting venue, the farmers first stopped the vehicle and attempted to ask questions.

The police removed the farmers, who continued to raise slogans against the BJP and the central government by encircling Hans’s convoy.

Farmer leaders said that due to the ongoing struggle to repeal the three farm laws passed by the Centre, the central government withdrew the laws, but it had to accept several conditions to end that standoff.

On the contrary, when the farmers attempted to go to Delhi again to reiterate their demands, they were harassed and stopped at the Haryana border as if they were citizens of another country.
