FLOOD RELIEF: MEMBER PARLIAMENT LEADS FROM FRONTFOOT, REACHES OUT TO PEOPLE WITH FOOD AND POTABLE WATER  

PROVIDE NECESSARY ITEMS IN FLOOD-AFFECTED AREAS THROUGH MOTOR BOATS

Jalandhar: Engaged in serving flood-affected people alongside river Satluj, Member Parliament Sushil Kumar Rinku on Tuesday reached out to people with food items and portable water. He distributed food packets in villages Dhakka Basti, Mandala Channa, Mundi Cholia, Chak Mandala, Gatti Pind, and Nasirpur where he approached people through motor boats. He also participated in rescue operations and saved many people with NDRF teams from their homes.

While interacting with the people, the MP assured them that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led state government stood by them in this hour of crisis and no stone would be left unturned to tackle this on-going situation. He said that the district administration has launched a slew of measures to mitigate the effect of heavy rains and floods.

The MP appreciated the Jalandhar Administration led by DC Vishesh Sarangal for its commendable role in tackling floods and said that the entire district administration has played a crucial role in relief work. Meanwhile, he also lauded the efforts of NGOs and Industrial Organizations for their contribution in relief work. These organizations included Shri Laxmi Narayan Mandir Model House, Mahajan Sabha Jalandhar, and Gadaipur Industrial Organization.

He also highlighted the love and affection showered by the people of villages during the relief tasks saying that people appreciated the works done by Jalandhar Administration for providing them relief during this crucial time. The MP reiterated that the Punjab Government was committed to facilitating people in this hour of crisis.
