69 trains canceled, 115 routes diverted in Punjab today amid farmers protest

Chandigarh: Due to the ongoing farmers’ protest on the Punjab-Haryana border, about 184 trains will be affected on Thursday. These include many super fast trains including Shatabdi.

This may cause huge inconvenience to people at railway stations across Punjab.

According to the schedule released by the railway, about 184 trains will be affected on May 9. Some trains have been short-terminated, while routes of more than 115 trains have been diverted.

Meanwhile, 69 trains will remain canceled. These include trains going to Delhi as well as many trains on Chandigarh-Amritsar route.
