Infighting in Punjab Congress: Now Sidhu, Warring face to face
Chandigarh: Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu and Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring have now confronted each other over the ongoing controversy surrounding the rallies. Sidhu declared his intent to holding political rallies in future. Simultaneously, State President Raja Warring emphasized the importance of adhering to the party’s code of conduct and discipline during these rallies.
On Monday, newly appointed Congress in-charge of Punjab, Devendra Yadav, paid respects at Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji. Amidst the political turmoil, both senior leaders of Punjab Congress exchanged criticisms. Devendra Yadav refrained from commenting on the ongoing tussle, expressing his intention to address the matter later.
Accompanied by Navjot Singh Sidhu, Devendra Yadav visited Sri Harmandir Sahib for the first time since taking charge of Punjab Congress. Sidhu asserted to the media that he remains indifferent to criticism about his rallies and meetings, emphasizing their role in strengthening the party. Sidhu challenged Raja Warring to gather 10,000 workers in a rally, questioning Warnings’ ability to mobilize despite holding the position of state president.
