IPS officer VK Bhawra challenges Gaurav Yadav’s appointment as DGP

Punjab E News: Punjab’s senior IPS officer V.K. Bhawra has challenged the appointment of Gaurav Yadav as the Director General of Punjab Police before the bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal Chandigarh. 
     Bhawra’s application has been listed for hearing before the tribunal on October 30. He said he is a 1987-batch IPS officer. He has a service record of over 35 years and was appointed DGP for at least two years. After the elections, the new government had pressed for relinquishing charge of the post.
