Jalandhar MP Rinku to meet CM Mann today, to discuss election strategy

Chandigarh: Sushil Kumar Rinku, the sole Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP in Punjab, is scheduled to meet CM Bhagwant Singh Mann today.

The meeting at the CM’s residence in Chandigarh holds significance amidst speculations of Rinku possibly joining the BJP. The Aam Aadmi Party has nominated Sushil Kumar Rinku as its candidate from the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat.

During the meeting, MP Rinku will discuss the election strategy with CM Mann. When asked about the rumors of joining the BJP, MP Sushil Rinku denied them, stating that they were incorrect.

Rinku clarified that the previous day, he and his family had visited Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh and Kabir Dham in Varanasi to offer prayers, reaffirming his commitment to the Aam Aadmi Party and his loyalty towards it.

On Friday, rumors circulated regarding Aam Aadmi Party’s Jalandhar MP Sushil Rinku and Jalandhar West MLA Sheetal Angural joining the BJP, sparking intense political discussions in Jalandhar. However, neither of the two leaders engaged in discussions with any media group, despite some major media outlets speculating about their potential switch to the BJP.
