Now transgenders can join Punjab police, orders issued
Punjab News: Transgenders will also be able to participate in the future recruitment process in Punjab Police. The police have made a policy in this regard by implementing the Transgender Act 2019.
The effort behind this is to provide equal opportunities to transgender people. Orders have been issued to all branches by the police headquarters in this regard.
It has been clarified in the order that they will be kept in the reserve category. Also, they will be given benefits like other reserve categories.
