One-and-a-half-year-old girl’s condition worsens after eating chocolate in Patiala

Chandigarh: A one-and-a-half-year-old girl in Punjab vomited blood after consuming chocolate. She resides in Ludhiana. The chocolates were purchased from Patiala, where the girl had previously died on her birthday after consuming cake.

Upon discovery, there was immediate concern in the health department. Officials promptly visited the shop where the chocolates were bought. Investigation revealed that the chocolate given to the girl had expired. She has since been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to the girl’s brother-in-law, Vicky, the child had visited their house in Patiala from Ludhiana a few days prior. When she was returning to Ludhiana, Vicky bought a gift pack for her from a local shop. Along with snacks and juice, the pack also included chocolate, which they gave to the child before she departed.
