PRTC-Punbus contract union postpones strike after 5% hike in salaries of employees

Punjab E News: The Workers Union have withdrawn their strike decision on Thursday. This has brought relief to lakhs of people traveling in buses. 
     After this decision of the union, government buses will run normally in Punjab today. In fact, the main demand of the union was accepted by the Punjab government late at night and the related letter was issued.
      There was a preparation for chakka jam in Punjab for many other demands including salary hike. In such a situation, passengers traveling in Punbus, roadways or PEPSU buses during festivals could have to face problems. The union had warned that if their demands were not addressed, the struggle would continue in the coming days.
Jodh Singh, president of the Amritsar Contract Union, said that late at night, the main demand of the union was a 5% increase in salary and a letter was also issued. After which the union withdrew the decision to block the wheel.
