Punjab and Haryana High Court to construct five toilets for transgenders

Punjab E News: In a positive move, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has made provision for separate toilets for transgenders in the court premises. A total of five toilets have been identified for transgenders in the High Court premises.
    According to the information, the idea of a separate toilet for transgenders came to the mind of advocate Maninderjit Singh in the year 2021. He began correspondence with the High Court administration and subsequently with Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud in the year 2022. On this correspondence, a campaign was initiated to create facilities for transgenders not only in the High Court but also in all judicial establishments across the country.
