Punjab farmers ends protest late night after government accepts demands, all arrested leaders released

Punjab E News: The Punjab government on Thursday night released the leaders arrested in a march launched by 16 farmer organisations from north India against the Centre. 
      At the same time, in the case of the slain farmer leader, the SHO has been shifted to police line. After this, at around 11 o’clock in the night, the farmers lifted the sit-in at 17 places in Punjab. 
      Now the farmer leaders will hold a meeting with the administration in Chandigarh on September 4.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that in the clashes that started on August 21, the Punjab government had arrested the leaders and tortured them and put them in jail. 
     The Punjab government had to bow down due to lathi-charge, one farmer was killed and several injured during the Chandigarh march. A letter has been written to the central government asking for a meeting with the Agriculture Minister.
     At the same time, an invitation has been issued for a meeting with the Chandigarh Administration on September 4 regarding the demands related to the central government.
