Punjab ready to welcome Shri Ram, live broadcasting from Ayodhya on over 1000 screens

Chandigarh: There is a wave of enthusiasm in Punjab for the consecration of Lord Ram Lalla in Ayodhya today, January 22. Religious functions are underway across the state, with illuminated buildings and houses. Thousands of screens are set up for devotees to watch the live program, and nightfall will witness lit lamps and fireworks.

Processions and padyatras welcomed Shri Ram Lalla throughout Punjab, accompanied by religious functions since early morning. Although no official holiday is declared by the government, Recognized Schools Association and many schools have granted holidays. Temples, market associations, party leaders, and social organizations in Punjab have organized programs independently.

Big temples in Amritsar, including Valmiki Tirth, Durgyana Temple, and Shivala Bagh Bhaiyan, are installing screens for live viewing, alongside langar arrangements. Evening Deepmala is planned at Durgyana temple and Shivala Bagh Bhaiyan, with various social organizations organizing fireworks.

Shri Devi Talab temple in Jalandhar will light 1 lakh 21 thousand diyas, and Ludhiana’s 500 temples will display the consecration program on LCDs. Deepgarlands will adorn major city temples in the evening.

AAP ministers, including Lalchand Kataruchak, Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Balkar Singh, Harjot Singh Bains, and Chetan Singh Jouramajra, have scheduled their participation in different events throughout the day. Sukhbir Badal from Akali Dal will join the event at MM Malviya Road in Amritsar.
