Punjabi students contributes Rs 68,000 crore every year in Canada’s economy 

Punjab E News: The escalating tension between India and Canada has raised concerns of parents of children studying in Canadian educational institutions as they have invested huge sums of money there. 
         In this way, Rs 68, 000 crore are being invested outside Punjab every year. This has been revealed in the data released by Khalsa Vox.
        According to the report, Canada approved a total of 2,26,450 visas last year, of which 1.36 lakh were from Punjab. These students enroll in various courses of two or three years on average in Canada. 
        According to the current data of various visa processing agencies, about 3.4 lakh Punjabis are currently studying in various educational institutions in Canada. 
        Kamal Bhumla, chairman of the Association of Consultants of Overseas Studies, said nearly 60 per cent of Indians going to Canada are Punjabis, with an estimated 1.36 lakh students, who had gone last year.
