Same-sex marriage: Akal Takht suspends Bathinda gurdwara granthis, ragis; orders probe into the matter 

Bathinda News: The Akal Takht Sahib has taken action against the granthis, ragi jathas and the committee after two young women performed ‘anand karaj’ in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Gurdwara Sri Kalgidhar Sahib Canal Colony on Multania Road in Bathinda, recently. They have been suspended. 
        At the same time, Giani Raghbir Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, has ordered an inquiry into it.
       The case is being reported on September 18. A video of Gurdwara Sahib had surfaced, in which a young woman was seen in coat paint and another in Punjabi suit. Both of them visited Sri Guru Granth Sahib and their Anand karaj was performed in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Surprisingly, this anand karaj was completed in the presence of management, ragi jathas and granths.
        At the same time, the management said that they knew that both were girls. Aadhaar cards of both were submitted before marriage. Not only this, both of them had also deposited about Rs 2500 of its fees.
