Rinku kickstarts development works worth Rs. 80 lakh in rural areas

Funds to be spent on works like solid waste management, Dharamshala construction, new roads, and sewerage system

Jalandhar: Lok Sabha Member Sushil Kumar Rinku today laid the foundation stone of the development works amounting Rs. 80 lakh while launching a series of development works in rural areas. These works include solid waste management, new roads, construction of boundary walls, construction of Dharamshala, laying of sewerage system, etc. Mr. Rinku said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwan Singh Mann was committed to revamping rural infrastructure as there was no shortage of funds for this cause. He further stated that the wind of development work that has been started by the Punjab Government in the state has never been seen before.

     MP Sushil Kumar Rinku first started the sewerage and solid waste management works in village Jaitewali at a cost of Rs 22 lakh and said that this project will solve the long-running sewerage problem of the people here. 

After this, he started the work of construction of a new road in village Muhadipur at a cost of Rs 8 lakh and then started the project of construction of new roads and Dharamshala in village Semi at a cost of Rs 18 lakh.  Similarly, work related to solid waste management project and cremation ground was started in village Raipur at a cost of Rs 14 lakh and then construction work of boundary walls was started in Jamsher at a cost of Rs 15 lakh.

     While addressing the gathering, the MP said that the people of the state had broken the old traditions and handed over the command of the state to the Aam Aadmi Party, after which the Punjab government has done such work which has won everyone’s heart. He said that the Punjab Government is committed to develop villages like cities, under which many major efforts have been made for the development of rural areas.  He said that the first goal of the government is to provide facilities like cities im villages by upgrading the basic infrastructure here.
