Six people, including a child, killed in a tragic accident in Sunam
Sunam News: Tragic news emerged from Sunam on Thursday as a horrifying accident on Sunam Mehla Road claimed several lives. Among the deceased was a child, and all the victims were residents of Sunam.
The Maruti car was en route from Malerkotla to Sunam when the accident occurred around 2 am.
Six individuals in the Maruti car lost their lives after colliding with two large canters. Following the accident, rescuers faced a challenging task of extracting the bodies from the Maruti car, requiring the use of a welding machine to cut through the metal.
The bodies have been transported to government hospitals in Sunam and Sangrur for postmortem examinations.
All the individuals who tragically perished in the accident were returning from paying their respects at the dargah of Baba Haider Sheikh in Malerkotla.
