Students found it difficult to breathe due to gas leak near Nangal school, many hospitalised
Chandigarh: Twelve students of the Nangal school were admitted to the hospital after they complained of difficulty in breathing due to a gas leak from a factory in the surrounding area.
Deputy commissioner Preeti Yadav said the gas leak was being ascertained. DC said 30 students were taken to the hospital and 12 of them were admitted, while the rest were discharged after first aid.
According to the school principal, around 7.45 am, many students started complaining of difficulty in breathing. The school was immediately shut down and all the affected students were taken to the hospital.
The Minister Harjot Singh Bains, who reached the hospital, said that the condition of all the students admitted to the hospital is improving.
