TO FACILITATE APPLICANTS PCC APPOINTMENT QUOTA INCREASED FROM 150 TO 315 PER DAY AT JALANDHAR PASSPORT OFFICE: RPO ABHISHEK SHARMA

Jalandhar: Regional Passport Officer Mr. Abhishek Sharma today said that the appointment quota for police clearance certificate (PCC) has been increased to 315 per day from earlier quota of 150 slots with immediate effect to facilitate applicants to avail these services in a smooth and hassle-free manner.

Divulging the details, the RPO said that earlier the appointment quota was 150 per day which has been increased to 315 in view of massive demand for PCC services. Now, these slots have now been scaled up to 315 per day. These increased slots include 80 slots each at PSK Jalandhar-1, PSK-2, and PSK Hoshuarpur while 25 each at POPSK Phagwara, Pathankot, and Moga. As per previous slots availability there were 40 slots each available in PKS-1, 2 and Hoshiarpur while 10 slots each were available at Phagwara, Pathakot and Moga POPSK.

Reiterating his commitment to providing best of the passport related services, Mr. Sharma said that no stone would be left unturned to assist visitors seeking these services as a slew of measures have already been undertaken by the Jalandhar office. The applicants can check and book their passport and PCC appointment directly at www.passportindia.gov.in after applying and making payments online, he said, adding that people need not to consult any middleman for these services as the passport office has not authorized any such institution or middleman. He advised people to3 stay away from such persons making false commitments with respect to passport related services, instead they should directly avail the services through official portal www.passportindia.gov.in.
