Delhi Police raids premises of journalists linked to NewsClick, registers case under UAPA

New Delhi: Amid the funding dispute with China, the Delhi Police has raided the premises of journalists associated with NewsClick and many people are being questioned. Simultaneous raids have been started at many locations. 
       The raids are being conducted at the premises of News Click, the digital news website by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. During the raid, the Special Cell of the police has seized many electronic evidence including mobiles and laptops, computers. The police have registered a case under the UAPA.
       According to the information, the police have also taken hard disk data. The ED has already conducted raids over the funding of news clicks. The ED had registered a case of money laundering in this case and also attached some properties of News Click. 
      Officials of the Special Cell of Delhi Police are conducting searches at the premises of journalists. However, no arrest has been made in the case so far. According to sources, some journalists have been taken to police stations for questioning.
