FIR against 7 including Ludhiana Corporation inspector in Rs 1.75cr embezzlement case, suspended 

In Ludhiana, the police registered an FIR of cheating on 7 employees, including the sanitary inspector of the Municipal Corporation, late at night in police station division number 7. The inspector and corporation employees have been accused of transferring Rs 1.75 crore to bogus bank accounts. They have passed fake stamp-paper bills of 44 employees. 
       The corporation has suspended 7 accused employees. Notices have also been sent to 12 other employees. SHO Jagjit Singh of police station division number 5 said that a case has been registered against 7 people under sections 420 and 409 of the IPC in the scam. Raids are on to arrest the accused.
