Mohali court sends Bhana Sidhu to judicial custody for 14 days

Chandigarh: In a significant development, Bhagwant Singh, also known as Bhana Sidhu, an individual active on social media sent to 14 days judicial custody by the Mohali court on Wednesday.

Mohali police have charged Bhana Sidhu under sections 9/24 U/S 294, 387, 506. The court initially granted a two-day police remand on January 29. Following the expiration of the remand, Mohali police presented Bhana Sidhu in court again, and he has now been placed in 14-day judicial custody.

Bhana Singh Sidhu, previously arrested by Ludhiana city police for allegedly blackmailing a woman running a travel agency in the Model Town area of Ludhiana and demanding Rs 10,000, was granted bail by a Ludhiana court.

Just before Bhana Sidhu’s release, the Patiala police took him into custody from Malerkotla jail on Friday.

He faces charges in connection with an alleged snatching case registered at Patiala Sadar police station on January 20. The Patiala court had previously remanded Bhana Sidhu to police custody until January 29.
