Over 21,000 people died in Turkey earthquake, rescue work underway

Ankara: The devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday made the situation worse in both countries. According to the latest figures, about 21000 people have died in both countries due to the earthquake. At the same time, after 72 hours of the earthquake, the hope of people trapped in the debris has also decreased. Actually, the severe cold in Turkey and Syria is making it difficult to rescue operations. It is also snowing in Turkey.

In Turkey, 17,170 people have lost their lives due to the earthquake. More than 35, 000 people are reported to be injured. At the same time, 3162 people have been killed in Syria and more than 4, 000 are said to be injured. More than 28, 000 people have been rescued in Turkey. More than 60, 000 rescue workers have been deployed for rescue operations. About 70 countries have extended a helping hand to Turkey and Syria.
India is providing assistance to these two countries under ‘Operation Dost’. At the same time, the World Food Program has said that it has a week in Syria.
