Toronto: A 49-year-old Indian-American man has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for illegally crossing hundreds of Indian nationals across the border from Canada into the US. Rajinder Pal Singh alias Jaspal Gill of Elk Grove, California, was sentenced by the Seattle District Court. Gill pleaded guilty in February and admitted that he had taken more than $500,000 for the act as a key member of the smuggling gang.
He used Uber to illegally enter the US of Indians. In a span of four years, he brought more than 800 people to the US.
