US university allows Sikhs to wear Kirpan on campus

New York: America’s prestigious university has announced that it will allow Sikh students to wear Kirpan on campus.

The decision comes two months after a video of a University of North Carolina student being handcuffed for wearing a gatra went viral.
The University of North Carolina said in a statement that students will be allowed to wear a Kirpan on campus provided that the it should not exceed three inches and not visible.
