Jhotta’s father alleges Punjab government, police and drug traffickers’ complicity in murder

Mansa: Bhim Singh, father of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhotta, has accused the Punjab government, local police administration and drug traffickers of colluding in his son’s murder. He said 28 days had passed since the incident, but the alleged actual killers and those involved in the suspected political conspiracy had not been arrested.

Bhim Singh alleged that those who allegedly backed his son’s killing were still moving around freely, while no action had been taken against police officers allegedly involved in the case.

He said the family would not get justice until a thorough investigation was conducted and the alleged political conspirators were sent to jail.

Expressing concern over the growing drug menace, Bhim Singh said Punjab’s youth were increasingly falling victim to drugs and their lives were being destroyed. He appealed to the Centre, particularly the Union Home Ministry and the Home Minister, to ensure justice by immediately transferring the local SSP.

He alleged that AAP political leaders were protecting the police officer concerned, preventing his transfer.

The family, he said, was demanding an impartial investigation into the entire case and action against all those allegedly involved in the conspiracy.
