New Delhi: A day after her controversial “Generation Gutter” remark about Generation Z, BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut targeted Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leader Saurav Das, questioning his claim of being a student and describing him as “unemployed” and “good for nothing.”
Sharing a screenshot of Das’ interview with ANI on her Instagram Stories, Ranaut claimed she had searched his profile online and questioned how a 28-year-old could describe himself as a student.
“I Googled this person and found out he is 28 years old. I don’t understand how he is calling himself a student,” Ranaut wrote. She added that by the time she was his age, she had already won two National Awards.
Defending her own professional background, Ranaut said that although she has been in politics for only two years, she has spent two decades in public life and continues to balance multiple roles as an actor, filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and entrepreneur.
She further wrote that someone who was “completely unemployed and good for nothing” could not understand what it meant to remain in demand at every stage of life.
Addressing Das directly, Ranaut said, “Saurav, your issues are personal. You are not a student; you are simply unemployed. It would be better if you started learning a skill.”
The latest exchange comes after Saurav Das criticised Ranaut’s “Generation Gutter” remark, alleging that neither her own party nor the younger generation took her comments seriously.
