Amid farmers protest, Chandigarh-Delhi flight tickets hiked drastically

Chandigarh: People are encountering numerous challenges when traveling between Chandigarh and Delhi due to the presence of farmers gathering along the border areas and highways, along with barricades erected by the police and administration to address their demands.

Additionally, passengers flying from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Mohali to Chandigarh-Delhi are facing exorbitant ticket prices.

According to reports, ticket prices have surged to nearly five times the normal rate.

Previously, airfare from Chandigarh to Delhi and vice versa averaged around Rs 3,000 on regular days. However, on February 13, prices ranged from Rs 9,104 to Rs 17,021.
