Farmers’ protest: Process of breaking wall built on Ghazipur border begins, commuters to get relief

New Delhi: Good news for people traveling between Delhi and Ghaziabad as the process of demolishing the wall erected by the police administration at UP Gate on NH-24 to deter farmers from entering Delhi has commenced.

It is expected that this road will be reopened within the next 1 to 2 days. The opening of this route will provide significant relief from traffic issues for commuters traveling to Delhi from Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara, and Kaushambi.

The farmers launched their agitation on February 13, demanding legislation for a minimum support price and the implementation of all recommendations from the Swabhiman Commission. While en route to Delhi, the farmers were halted at the Shambhu border of Punjab and Haryana.

Additionally, all Delhi borders were sealed during this time, leading to traffic disruptions for residents of Delhi NCR.
