New Delhi:The government has imposed a ‘ban’ on the import of laptops, tablets, all-in-one personal computers, ultra-small form factor (USFF) computers and servers. The order has come into effect immediately.
Banning the import of a product means that a license or government permission is mandatory for their import. In a notification issued today, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade said the move is aimed at reducing imports from countries like China.
