Rahul Gandhi cancels Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Jharkhand to participate in farmers’ agitation

New Delhi: The second phase of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’, which was scheduled to begin in Jharkhand on Wednesday, has been cancelled.

Sources said the programme has been cancelled as senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi left for the national capital to take part in the farmers’ agitation.

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh and other party leaders will now hold the scheduled talks with MGNREGA workers at Ranka in Garhwa district.

Gandhi was scheduled to re-enter Jharkhand via Garhwa district on Wednesday, proceeding from Chhattisgarh for the second leg of his state tour.
