Security beefed up in Delhi, Chandigarh in view of AAP’s protest against Sisodia’s arrest

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has beefed up security at Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Marg in the morning in view of the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) call against the arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

A heavy police force also deployed outside BJP headquarters in Chandigarh after AAP’s call for protest.
Tight security arrangements have been made at DDU Marg in central Delhi, where the headquarters of both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the AAP are located, a senior police officer said.
Traffic is also likely to be affected during the day in the central part of the city. Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai said the party will observe the day as a “black day” and hold nationwide protests against Sisodia’s arrest.
