Stop misleading advertisements, will impose Rs 1cr fine on every product claiming false cure: SC to Patanjali 

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday reprimanded Baba Ramdev’s company Patanjali Ayurved. They have been reprimanded for publishing misleading claims and advertisements against modern medicine systems. The Indian Medical Association had filed a petition against the misleading advertisements.
     A bench of Justices Ahsanuddin Amanullah and Prashant Kumar Mishra heard the case. Justice Amanullah said- Patanjali Ayurved has to stop all advertisements containing false and misleading claims immediately. The court will take any such violation very seriously and can also impose a fine of up to Rs 1 crore on the false claim of each product.
