Tamil Nadu Minister arrested by ED, breaks down on camera; develops chest pain after ED arrest
New Delhi: Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji has been arrested under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), official sources said. He was arrested after a long session of questioning. On Tuesday, he was admitted to a government hospital in the city after he complained of uneasiness. V Senthil is likely to be produced before a special court today where the agency will seek his custody.
On Wednesday, the ED brought Balaji to The Omandurar Government Hospital in Chennai for medical examination. The DMK leader, who was brought to the hospital in an ambulance, was seen writhing in pain and crying inside the vehicle while his supporters stood outside and raised slogans against the investigating agency.
