Two killed in landslide in Shimla

Shimla: The spell of rain and snow has stopped in Himachal Pradesh, but now cases of landslides (Shimla landslide) have started coming to light.

A landslide occurred in the state capital Shimla on Tuesday morning. Two people have died in the accident. Meanwhile, the police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them to IGMC Hospital in Shimla for postmortem. On the other hand, other labourers are reported to be working at the site of the incident.

According to the information, at around 6:15 am on Tuesday, the slopes fell into the Ashwani Khad on Janga Marg in Shimla. The bodies have been fished out and sent to IGMC.

IGMC CMO Mahesh said two labourers buried in the landslide were brought in the morning and both have died. The deceased have been identified as Rakesh (31) and Rajesh (40). Both were from Bihar and worked as labourers here.
