Cabinet Minister Balkar Singh initiate various development at villages

Jalandhar News: Cabinet Minister for Local Bodies of Punjab Mr. Balkar Singh said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government will ensure comprehensive development of villages under which connectivity of roads, drinking water to 100 % of population, sewerage and street lights will be provided.

       While laying the foundation stone of various development works at Madara, Dhogdi and Nurpur villages of Jalandhar district here today, the cabinet minister said that the Punjab government has all set to start solid waste management projects in 813 villages of the district.

     Under this solid waste to be collected from Door to Door , further disposing off in scientific manner. He also said that in 75 villages of the district, the work on solid waste management projects have been started .

      The cabinet minister also said that the Punjab government has ordered the officials to organise special camps under “Sarkar Tuhade Dawar “ at the village level to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes to reach the grassroots level to the needy ones .

      Cabinet minister also urged people to play the role of invigilator to complete the ongoing development works in the villages on time and to maintain the quality so that every single penny of the people to be used for their welfare.

     Development works started today in villages worth Rs. 2 lakhs at Madara, Rs. 8 lakhs at Dhogdi and Rs. 3 lakhs at Nurpur.
