Cop slaps protesting female farmer, send to police line; departmental probe initiated

Annoyed over police action, farmers to block railway tracks across Punjab at 1pm
Batala News: A day after a video went viral in which a Punjab Police personnel could be seen slapping a female protesting farmer in Batala, Punjab Police have send the erring cop to the police line and a departmental inquiry has been initiated against him in this matter. 
     Meanwhile, annoyed over police action, after the lathi-charge on the farmers who have been protesting for a long time for compensation for the land acquired under the Bharat Mala project, farmers have decided to block railway tracks across Punjab at 1 pm today to protest against the lathi charge.
    Under the banner of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, farmers and agricultural labourers will gather and express their anger by sitting on railway tracks in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Ferozepur, Bathinda, Amritsar, Patiala, Ropar etc. Farmer leaders said that the Bhagwant Mann government has resorted to lathi-charge on the farmers protesting peacefully.
