Ivraj Kaur meets Speaker along with her family members and Ex-MLA Sandoa

PVS Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan and his wife honour flying Officer Ivraj Kaur upon her arrival in Punjab

Chandigarh: Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan and his wife Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur Sandhwan today bestowed special honour upon Flying Officer Ivraj Kaur on her arrival in the state. Ivraj Kaur, the daughter of village Hussainpur in district Rupnagar, has been selected as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force.

While meeting her at his official residence, the Speaker congratulated Ivraj Kaur, saying that her achievement would be a source of inspiration for other girls of the state. She was accompanied by her family members, former MLA Amarjit Singh Sandoa, former Sarpanch Jaspreet Singh Hussainpur and Sarpanch Shaminder Kaur.

S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan said that Ivraj Kaur’s selection as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force is a matter of great pride for Punjab as it will serve as a pathway for those youngsters who aspire to pursue their dreams by going abroad leaving Punjab behind. The Speaker urged the youth of the state to work hard and bring laurels to their families and Punjab alike Ivraj Kaur.

 

 

 

Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan and his wife Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur Sandhwan honored Ivraj Kaur with a shawl and a memento.

Pertinently, Ivraj Kaur, a former student of Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls in SAS Nagar (Mohali), completed her training at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal (Hyderabad), after which she was commissioned as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force. Ivraj Kaur, who will join the flying branch as a helicopter pilot, hails from Rupnagar district and is the daughter of farmer S. Jaspreet Singh.
