Lok Sabha Elections 2024: District Administration committed to conducting Lok Sabha elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner-District Election Officer

Jalandhar News: In order to further strengthen the sense of security among the people during the Lok Sabha Elections-2024, a flag march was taken out today by the Assistant Returning Officers along with the security forces in Kartarpur and Model Town locality in the Jalandhar City.

Giving more information on this occasion,  Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Dr. Himanshu Agarwal Aggarwal that district administration was fully geared up for conducting Lok Sabha Elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner as all the preparations have already been done by the administration. He also said that in order to strengthen the sense of security among the people during the elections, flag marches are being taken out by the administration along with security forces in different areas. He said that in the coming days also in all the Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Jalandhar district, flag marches will be taken out by the administration along with the security forces.

He mentioned that the district administration was duty bound to maintain peace during the Lok Sabha elections. He said that anti-social elements will not be allowed to disturb the peace in the district.

He appealed to the people of the district not to believe any rumours. He also said that if any person tries to disturb the peace by spreading rumours, then such information should be given immediately to the district administration and police department so that the mischievous elements can be nabbed.

On this occasion Assistant Returning Officers Balbir Raj and Amanpreet Singh said that the administration was keeping a close eye on every activity during the Lok Sabha elections. They also appealed to the people to extend their valuable support in maintaining peace during the Lok Sabha elections. DSP  Kartarpur Palwinder Pal Singh and ACP Model Town Harjinder Singh and various sector officers were also present on this occasion.
