PPCB established 24X7 Helpdesk for entrepreneurs’ facilitation: Meet Hayer

Helpdesk guide the industries regarding obligation towards control of pollution and regulatory clearances

Chandigarh: On the Chief Minister S Bhagwant Singh Mann’s directions to create industry friendly atmosphere, the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) established a Helpdesk at the head office which will operate 24X7 for the facilitation of the entrepreneurs.

Giving details the Environment and Science Technology Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that this Helpdesk Will guide the industries regarding obligation towards control of pollution and regulatory clearances. Two officers of the rank of Assistant Environmental Engineer (AEE) shall be available at the Helpdesk at Head Office, Patiala. The board has also started the helpline number (9914498899) for facilitation.

Meet Hayer further said that Chief Minister Punjab had invited suggestions from the general public for the promotion of the industry in the state.​In compliance with the suggestion received, PPCB has established a Helpdesk at Vatavaran Bhawan, Nabha Road, Patiala which will remain operative 24X7 to guide/ facilitate the entrepreneurs of the state regarding their obligation towards control of pollution and compliance with Regulatory Clearances.

The minister said that recently the state Government organised Sarkar Sannatkaar milni to ensure direct dialogue with captains of industry to understand their needs and act accordingly. Delhi Chief Minister Sh Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann interacted with industrialists in different four cities of the state.
