Special train cancelled on Chhath Puja, angry people throw stones at railway station in Punjab

Sirhind News: People threw stones at the train at Sirhind railway station in Punjab yesterday night. During this, a large number of people created ruckus on the railway track and station. These people got angry after the cancellation of the special train running on Chhath Puja at the eleventh hour.
People present at Sirhind station said that in view of the crowd of people going to Bihar for Chhath Puja, the railways had announced to run special train number 04526 from Sirhind to Saharsa. For this, people from Bihar living in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal have booked tickets.
People said that the announcement to cancel the train was made suddenly. After this, when people reached the counter, no railway personnel was present there. No one was present at the station to give correct information to the people on behalf of the railways.
People are not even being refunded the money for the tickets. Due to this, they were stuck at Sirhind station, while their family in Bihar were waiting for them.
People say that Chhath is their biggest festival in Bihar, so more and more trains should be run.
