2611 cases of stubble burning reported in Punjab in 48 hours; 3,836 farmers fined

Punjab E News: With the passing of Diwali, there has once again been a spurt in stubble burning incidents in Punjab. In the 48 hours on Diwali and Monday, 2611 cases of stubble burning have been reported in Punjab.
      Punjab reported 1,624 cases, according to data received on Monday evening. At the same time, a total of 2,611 incidents of farm fires have been reported from across the state in the last two days. This includes 987 incidents of burning of paddy residue on Diwali day.
      At the same time, there was a decrease in the incidents of stubble burning between 9 and 11 November. On November 9, 639 incidents of farm fires were reported from across the state, while on November 10, just six cases of stubble burning were reported and on November 11, 104 cases were reported.
