Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party MP and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, his wife and actress Geeta Basra, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra met Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann at Punjab Bhawan. Officials said the meeting was cordial and centered around the promotion of their upcoming Punjabi film Meher.
CM Mann welcomed the delegation and extended his best wishes for the project. He also congratulated Raj Kundra and Geeta Basra for their association with the new film.
Earlier on Tuesday, Raj Kundra, Geeta Basra and Harbhajan Singh paid obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar ahead of the film’s release.
Meher marks Raj Kundra’s debut in the Punjabi film industry, where he plays the role of Karamjit Singh. Directed by Rakesh Mehta, the film has been shot in Mohali and Chandigarh. Raj said the film will showcase a blend of action, comedy and drama.
“Ardas is done before the beginning of every work, so I have also come to pray in front of Waheguru,” Raj said.
The film also features Geeta Basra, who is making a comeback to the screen after a decade.
