Anti-drug front leader shot dead in Phillaur

Punjab News: Anti-drug front Lakhanpal and Dhani village leader Nambardar Ram Gopal were attacked last night, from where he was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Nambardar was attacked when he was on his way home on a motorcycle. From behind, a black Innova car hit the motorcycle, due to which Ram Gopal fell.

The attackers attacked the fallen with sticks, rods, etc. Later, people picked him up and admitted him to Johal Hospital in Jalandhar, where he died. The victim was the leader of the anti-drug front and this front was also demanding the arrest of drug smugglers by holding dharnas continuously.
Ram Gopal had repeatedly told the media and the administration itself about the constant death threats.
Disgruntled people blocked the Phagwara-Jandiala road, where the sit-in is continue.
